Professional development, it’s a thing. For all professions, even artists! I’ve taken classes from Artist Trust (edge program) and I’ve taken many painting and drawing classes from artists I admire. When is it too late to learn something new? NEVER! The latest class I took was from a talented artist, Kenny Harris, who lives, paints, and teaches in Venice Beach, California. Kenny’s teaching style is complete and thorough. He showed us some techniques he uses and demonstrated them by painting alongside us. I enjoyed his hands-on teaching style and his slide shows were informative. The class was located out of town, so it helped us all to stay focused on art, and away from the day to day demands of life. Thanks to Cary with Whidbey Fine Arts Center for putting together an amazing experience.
